In a recent article published by Salon, an extreme leftist publication, the writer extols the virtues of communism and attempts to set straight the misconceptions that “normal” people have concerning communism.

You can read the article here.

In his piece, the writer makes some seriously stupid comments, comparisons and tries to make sense of the controlling, oppressive and downright murderous methodology of communism.

The one thing that socialists and communists believe, which serves as a window into their own arrogance, is that communism and socialism has never been done properly. In other words, “we can do it right, THIS TIME”.

The problem with this thinking, besides the obvious, is that it is complete sophistry, ignoring truths, facts, history and attempting to justify the subjugation of the individual for some communal goal that is supposed to make for a better society.

The question is never asked by these people, “what if that person has no interest in my ideology?”

Again, the arrogance rears it’s ugly head, after all, “how can it be possible for those people to not what what I want, they are so wrong!”.

To think that there are people on the planet that want to be in charge of their own destiny. To think that there are individuals that want to struggle for a chance at a better life. To think that there are people that want to buy goods and services that they might want or purchase these goods or services should they are needed.

Somehow, the bartering system that made America the superpower that it became is lost on these types.

Another item that is lost on this ideology is the concept of ownership, private property rights, and use of said property.

Ignoring the hundreds of millions of lost lives as a result of communism, the simple destruction of the human spirit is the greatest threat of this way of life.

In the writers diatribe there is this:

In capitalism, competing ownership claims are settled by the state’s willingness to use violence to exclude all but one claimant. If I lay claim to one of David Koch’s mansions, libertarian that he is, he’s going to rely on big government and its guns to set me right. He owns that mansion because the state says he does and threatens to imprison anyone who disagrees. Where there isn’t a state, whoever has the most violent power determines who gets the stuff, be that a warlord, a knight, the mafia or a gang of cowboys in the Wild West. Either by vigilantes or the state, property rights rely on violence.

In his example, leaving aside that he uses the “Koch’s” as the example, since the Koch brother give to right leaning causes, which really bothers these people, but they never mention the sugar daddy of the leftists, Soros, nor are they bothered by this billionaire.

What the government is doing, in this case, is protecting private property, acquired, in a legal manner, by the current owner. So, if he and his lefty friends come to interlope on private property, the constabulary is called in, with their guns, to re-establish order.

What this person is espousing is the opposite or law and order – chaos. If he doesn’t like the person living in that mansion, then he and his communist friends should have the right to simply walk in and take over the property, and the government should be there, with their guns, to make sure that they can steal other people’s property.

So, you see, it is not billionaires, private property or a government with guns that bother these types.

What really bothers these people is that there is opposition to their ideology. They can’t have that so, by using the guns of the government, they would have you and me thrown in internment camps, they’d take all of our property, live in that property as they see fit. Once destroyed, they would move on to the next property, do the same and then, do it again. On and on, until there is nothing left of value.

The communist, the socialist and their thoughts are a plague on the face of the earth.
